Easter fun

So, I uploaded pictures from this week and realized we took a LOT of them! David was visiting so we have pictures from his visit, plus pictures from playing in the yard and Easter pictures.

David brought his new mandolin (fancy-schmancy and custom-made; please feel free to compliment it lavishly and I will pass on your remarks to the proper quarter). He and Conor played with it for a while, much to Mary’s delight:

Then, on Saturday, we took Mary out to play catch–which was a bit hit-or-miss. She swiftly lost interest in the game. But it was a nice day so the game became, more accurately, a chasing-Mary game.

Mary and I quickly became exhausted and had to sit down. Conor deemed it “the least active game of catch ever.” But hey, she needed a nap and I can’t take a deep breath anymore, so it’s hardly surprising. (In case you’re wondering, this is what my 25-weeks-pregnant belly looks like!)

For Easter dinner we went to Elaine and Luke’s. We had delicious food (in huge quantity) and Mary had prodigious pet-torturing fun:

We went for a walk after supper–squirrel heaven out there. I’ve never seen so many squirrels. I think they actually run the town council there.
